Program Description
Learning Objective: To teach all healthcare staff strategies for preventing work-related injuries
All workers who do repetitive type movements, use awkward postures or excessive force to do their jobs, strain to maintain certain positions, or are subject to constant vibration are at risk for job-related injuries.
After completing this program, your staff will be able to:
- Identify common Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) and their signs and symptoms
- Explain the importance of reporting MSDs early and the consequences of failing to do so
- Describe how to report MSDs
- Identify risk factors, jobs and activities associated with MSD hazards
- Describe engineering controls
