Program Description


Learning Objective: To educate healthcare professionals on ways to prevent patient falls in the hospital setting.



10 percent of fatal falls for older adults actually occur in hospitals – the very place where patients should be safe! Developed for the interdisciplinary Fall Prevention Team of nurses, physicians, physical therapists, and pharmacists, this program includes evidence-based strategies, protocols and interventions to prevent patient falls and reduce the severity of fall-related injuries.
